David J. Ryan is a tax associate with our office. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Williams College, a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. He began his tax career with Deloitte & Touche’s International Tax Services group in Los Angeles, CA, where he specialized in both international mergers & acquisitions and multinational partnerships. He has also worked in the International Tax group of Deloitte’s National Tax Office in Washington, DC, and with an energy-industry-specific international tax practice group at KPMG’s Century City, CA office.
After taking a sabbatical from the tax industry and, in the process, moving back to Boston, he joined the corporate tax practice of Brown & Brown, LLP, providing compliance and consulting services for small- to medium-sized corporations and partnerships. He has been with the firm since 2006, working in all aspects of our practice, but focusing mainly on tax planning and compliance for individuals, partnerships, and trusts. David currently lives in Sudbury with his wife, Jennifer.
